Connect Claude Code

One command adds the Xpansions server to Claude Code — nothing to install, no local process. Sign-in happens in your browser.

claude mcp add --transport http xpansions https://mcp.xpansions.net/mcp/

Restart Claude Code, then run /mcp, choose xpansions, and select Authenticate. Your browser opens — sign in with the same account you just created, approve, and you're connected.

Need headless / CI access? Use --header "Authorization: Bearer <your-api-key>" — grab your key from the account portal.

Make your first call

Start (or restart) Claude Code, then ask it to use the Xpansions tools. A free, zero-config first call is checking your own account:

Use the xpansions MCP server: run account_status and show my credit balance.

Claude Code will call the account_status tool and report your credits and key status — proof the connection works. It does not cost a credit.

Then point it at Content Hub:

List my Content Hub entity definitions.

First Content Hub call? Claude Code will walk you through connecting your CH tenant (server URL + OAuth client) the first time.
